A24 Appoints Shane Tully as New Global CISO
A24, a leading global cybersecurity company, has appointed Shane Tully as its new Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Tully brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, having led the Australian Transport Sector in the Department of Homeland Security's international Cyberstorm III exercise in 2010.
Tully's career spans over two decades, with a strong focus on security architecture, strategy, planning, risk, and assurance. He has served in various roles across Australian state government agencies, transport, and financial services industries. Notably, Tully was an invited SCADA representative to the Australian Government IT Security Expert Advisory Group (ITSEAG) from 2009 to 2013.
In recognition of his significant contributions to the field, Tully was honoured as the first Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Information Security (CIISec) outside the UK. He has also been instrumental in several key security initiatives, including the Cloud Security Alliance, SABSA-TOGAF integration, Australian Government Trusted Information Sharing Network (TISN), Australian Law Reform Commission, NIST, and the MITRE ATT&CK Framework. Tully's exceptional work led to him being awarded for his contribution to the Information Security Decade of De-perimeterisation 2004-2013 by The Open Group.
Prior to his appointment at A24, Tully founded the oneworld airline alliance IT Security Forum and was a founding member of The Jericho Forum's board of management.
With his extensive experience and proven track record, Shane Tully is well-positioned to lead A24's global cybersecurity efforts. His appointment as Global CISO signals A24's commitment to strengthening its security posture and driving innovation in the field.
