ACCIONA Secures €120M EIB Loan for Digitalisation and Innovation
ACCIONA, a Spanish global leader in regenerative solutions, has secured a €120 million loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB). This first tranche of a €150 million deal will fund research, development, and innovation, particularly in digitalisation strategies.
The loan, which aligns with the EIB's core priorities of climate action and digital innovation, will support ACCIONA's development of innovative materials, processes, and technologies. This includes exploring new construction materials, renewable energy technologies, and water treatment solutions. The project also contributes to the EU's TechEU initiative, aiming to mobilise €250 billion in investments by 2027.
The funding will cover various technological solutions such as automation, decarbonisation, the Internet of Things, data analysis, and applied AI. These innovations will help build more sustainable and efficient infrastructure, optimising business processes and enhancing ACCIONA's overall competitiveness.
This financing agreement, the latest in a series of collaborations between ACCIONA and the EIB, will accelerate the company's digitalisation strategy and support its commitment to sustainability and innovation. The loan will facilitate ACCIONA's development of cutting-edge technologies, further cementing its position as a leader in the regenerative solutions sector.
