Bango, a fast-casual chain with 17 locations in New York and ongoing development, has streamlined its kitchen operations with the help of RATIONAL's iCombi Pro oven. According to CEO Ryan Thorman, the iCombi Pro is transformative to Bango's business.

The iCombi Pro is a versatile oven that can prepare various items simultaneously using different cooking methods, such as roast, steam, bake, pan fry, air fry, and smoke. It is compact enough to fit into Bango's small kitchen footprints (100-300 sq ft) and is available in various sizes, including the countertop XS model used in every Bango location.

One of the key features of the iCombi Pro is the iProductionManager, which ensures cooking methods are compatible and monitors each rack individually. This allows for the simultaneous cooking of two separate items without flavor transfer. The oven can also clean itself automatically with the iCareSystem AutoDose and can be programmed and run remotely.

Bango's kitchen setup allows for dishes to be cooked to order without disrupting other operations. The chain initially offered only cold food items like salads, grain bowls, and smoothies, but has expanded to include hot options like paninis and cooked proteins (chicken, shrimp, tofu).
