Aether Secures $2.5M for AI-Driven Rooftop Solar Expansion

Aether, a San Francisco-based startup specialising in rooftop solar solutions, has secured $2.5 million in seed funding. The round was led by noa, a London-based venture capital firm, with backing from Y Combinator, Collab Fund, Amino Capital, and Climate Capital.

Founded in 2023, Aether simplifies rooftop solar installation through an AI-powered, end-to-end platform. The company aims to enable homeowners to purchase rooftop solar systems with just a single click, accurately matching the installed system with the point-of-sale description. The funding will fuel Aether's expansion and support the launch of a native solar design tool, tailored to the European market.

Currently operating in the U.S. and Europe, Aether plans to scale its operations globally. noa, the lead investor, focuses on decarbonising the built world, with a particular interest in AI, energy, and climate sectors.

Aether's $2.5 million seed funding will accelerate the company's expansion and support the development of a European-specific solar design tool. With backing from notable investors like noa, Y Combinator, and others, Aether is well-positioned to simplify rooftop solar installation and drive growth in both the U.S. and Europe.
