Ambitious Air Mobility Group (AAMG) to Revive Electric Air Mobility Company Lilium

The Ambitious Air Mobility Group (AAMG), a joint venture between Luxaviation, Sigma Air Mobility, and the Ambitious Group, has expressed interest in acquiring Lilium, a private aircraft operator based in Luxembourg. AAMG aims to rescue and relaunch Lilium by acquiring its key assets, such as intellectual property and testing facilities, and investing substantial capital to develop its electric air mobility platform.

AAMG has secured €250 million (approximately $291 million) in initial capital and access to an additional €500 million to restart Lilium. The consortium plans to revitalize and develop Lilium’s aircraft platform, establish a supply chain to build the aircraft in Europe, and invest heavily to expand Lilium’s operations globally.

AAMG had previously ordered 16 Lilium aircraft before the company's insolvency proceedings. They have outlined cooperation programs with suppliers, government authorities, and partners to support this effort. If the acquisition is completed, operations would restart with a significantly scaled-down team and administrative staff, which may result in a shift in the expected certification timeline for Lilium’s aircraft, originally targeted for 2026.

The Ambitious Air Mobility Group is a financial and technical consortium, registered in the Dutch trade register, with an address referring to a villa in the Netherlands. Little is known beyond the information provided, but it is clear that AAMG is committed to electric and hybrid-electric flying and related infrastructure.

In addition to its headquarters in Amsterdam, AAMG mentions locations in Dubai and Marbella on its website. The Ambitious Group, a partner in AAMG, specializes in the mediation of specialists and executives in areas such as IT, engineering, finance, science, sales, and marketing. Robert Kamp, CEO and Senior Partner of AAMG and CEO of the Ambitious Group, leads the consortium.

As AAMG moves forward with its plans to acquire Lilium, the future of electric air mobility is one step closer to becoming a reality. The potential for advancements in this field is immense, and with AAMG's investment and expertise, Lilium may once again take flight.

The Ambitious Air Mobility Group's (AAMG) interests span across diverse sectors, including technology, finance, and the aviation industry, as they aim to revive Lilium, an electric air mobility company. With access to substantial capital and a focus on electric and hybrid-electric flying, AAMG intends to significantly advance Lilium's aircraft platform and operations globally.
