Apple Music Unveils Redesigned Replay Experience, Highlighting 2022's Top Music Trends
Apple Music has rolled out a redesigned Replay experience, offering users a personalised glimpse into their listening habits of the past year. The updated platform provides insights that are optimised for sharing with family and friends on their social channels or messaging platforms.
The redesigned Replay experience offers a variety of charts, including the Top Songs of 2022, Top Shazams, Top Fitness Songs, Most Read Lyrics, and more. The No. 1 song on Apple Music in 2022 was "Anti-Hero" by Taylor Swift, with "STAY" by The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber claiming the top spot on the Top Songs of 2022 chart.
Hip-Hop dominated the Top Songs chart, accounting for 32 of the top 100 songs of the year. Bad Bunny, Apple Music's 2022 Artist of the Year, led the pack with Un Verano Sin Ti being the biggest album of the year. Elton John and Dua Lipa's "Cold Heart (PNAU Remix)" topped the Shazam chart, while "We Don't Talk About Bruno" from Disney's Encanto led the Most Read Lyrics chart, with 29 of the 100 songs being in a language other than English.
British DJ Joel Corry's "Head & Heart (feat. MNEK)" led the Fitness Songs chart. Superfans can also discover whether they are among the top 100 listeners of their favourite artist or genre.
To access the redesigned Replay experience, users need to log in with the same Apple ID used for Apple Music. The threshold for Replay eligibility is based on a combination of plays and time spent listening. Eligible users can access the redesigned Replay experience on the website replay.music.apple.
Replay is available in 39 languages and is accessible in 169 countries and regions where Apple Music is available. Users can continue checking Replay until December 31 to see if their listening patterns evolve before the start of 2023. Once the new year begins, users can explore and share new 2023 insights each week on Replay.
The truncated version of the site is available all year or as soon as a user is eligible. Users can enjoy the redesigned Replay experience on various devices, making it a perfect way to reflect on and share their musical journey throughout the year.
