ARRI Unveils ALEXA 35 Xtreme: Enhanced Connectivity, High-Speed Shooting

ARRI has unveiled the ALEXA 35 Xtreme, an advanced camera boasting enhanced connectivity and impressive shooting capabilities. The upgrade is available for €15,900, allowing existing users to retain their licenses.

The ALEXA 35 Xtreme offers superior wireless connectivity, supporting WiFi 5 GHz, mesh network roaming, and auto-reconnect features. It can capture high-speed footage at up to 660 fps, a significant leap in the industry.

Power consumption is reduced by 10% compared to the ALEXA 35, improving battery life. The camera also offers pre-recording capabilities, up to 30 seconds in 4.6K resolution at 24 fps, and up to five minutes in HD resolution.

The ARRI ALEXA 35 Xtreme Base Entry Set is priced at $54,590. ARRI has introduced the ARRICORE codec to reduce data rates while maintaining high-quality footage. The camera retains full 17 stops of dynamic range at frame rates up to 330 fps.

The ALEXA 35 Xtreme is priced competitively, with the Lightweight Set starting at approximately $70,650 USD. Recent price reductions on related ALEXA 35 sets suggest premiums for full accessory bundles. The upgrade offers enhanced features and improved performance, making it an attractive option for cinematographers.
