Aston Martin Unveils DB12 Goldfinger Edition: A $300,000 Bond Tribute
Aston Martin has unveiled a special edition DB12, the Goldfinger Edition, celebrating 60 years since the iconic DB5's debut in the James Bond film 'Goldfinger'. This limited-run super-tourer is priced at around $300,000 and boasts unique features honouring its cinematic past.
The DB12 Goldfinger Edition is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, generating 670 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. It sports a Silver Birch paint job, reminiscent of the DB5, along with bespoke gold side strakes and chrome 'Q' fender badges. Inside, the car features Prince of Wales check perforation inserts, a special Goldfinger 60th anniversary logo, and 18k gold-plated accents.
Each of the 60 units worldwide comes with a custom car cover, a luxury key presentation box, and a Globe-Trotter attaché case. The Aston Martin Design Team, led by Marek Reichman, was responsible for the interior's rich trim and fittings. Deliveries are set to begin in spring 2025.
The DB12 Goldfinger Edition is a tribute to the timeless Bond classic, combining modern performance with nostalgic design. With an increased price tag of around $100,000 over the standard DB12, it's a luxurious nod to 007's enduring appeal.
