BAIC Arcfox α-S with 'Huawei Inside' Exceeds Demand, Marks First High-End EV with HarmonyOS Cockpit
BAIC BluePark has revealed that demand for the Arcfox α-S sedan equipped with 'Huawei Inside' has surpassed expectations. The first batch of 100 units rolled off the production line on August 31, marking the first high-end pure electric sedan with Huawei's HarmonyOS intelligent cockpit.
The Arcfox α-S, the first production vehicle to feature Huawei's smart car solutions, has an advanced autonomous driving system with 400TOPs of computing power. It boasts an impressive array of sensors: 3 LiDARs, 6 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, 9 ADS cameras, and 4 surround-view cameras for enhanced driving assistance.
The sedan comes in various specifications. The lower-priced version offers highway autonomous driving, while the top-tier model includes higher-order autonomous driving and urban valet parking capabilities. The production version, now more complete than the engineering prototype, has begun generalized road testing.
BAIC BluePark initially planned to start deliveries by the end of November but has pushed this back to December. The strategic partnership between BAIC BluePark and Huawei aims to advance electric vehicle technology and intelligent vehicle systems together.
The Arcfox α-S with 'Huawei Inside' has exceeded production capacity due to high demand. With its advanced autonomous driving system and comprehensive sensor suite, the sedan is set to make a significant impact in the market. BAIC BluePark will commence small-scale deliveries by the end of December, following road testing.
