Bash continues to escalate with the addition of Jamboree TV!
The latest edition of Super Mario Party™ Jamboree brings a host of new features and enhancements to the popular party game, now optimised for the Nintendo Switch™ 2 system. Here's what you can expect from this exciting update.
New Minigames and Modes
The new edition includes 20 brand-new minigames and additional game modes that take advantage of the Nintendo Switch 2's unique hardware capabilities, such as Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, HD Rumble 2, and the system's built-in microphone.
CameraPlay Support
With a compatible USB camera (sold separately), up to four players can see each other's faces during minigames and on the game board, adding a new social dynamic and allowing players to react visibly in real time.
New Rulesets in Mario Party Mode
Two new rulesets have been added to Mario Party mode: Tag-Team Rules and Frenzy Rules.
- In Tag-Team Rules, it's a 2-on-2 battle across the board. Teammates can call each other to share rolls and double effects—such as items and Stars—along with the introduction of Together Dice unique to this mode.
- Frenzy Rules introduce a fast-paced gameplay where players have only five turns to win, and each player starts with 50 coins, a Double Dice item, and a Star.
Enhanced Controls and Accessibility
The new edition also offers improved controls and accessibility features. Mouse-based minigames make up many of the new minigames, providing a fresh control style. In microphone-based minigames, players can clap as an alternative input method to voice. Adjustable CPU difficulty, message speed, and tutorial options for minigames ensure a more accessible gaming experience.
Jamboree TV Mode
Jamboree TV Mode is the new content hub where the new minigames live; it makes full use of the Switch 2 hardware features. The original base game content remains unchanged, with these enhancements being exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
Visual and Social Enhancements
While the original Mario Party Jamboree game did not receive a resolution upgrade, the camera integration and Jamboree TV mode add considerable new visual and interactive experiences.
Multiplayer Mode Requirements
Additional accessories may be required for multiplayer mode, sold separately. Up to four players can join the game using a compatible USB camera (sold separately) with CameraPlay, allowing them to see each other's faces during minigames and on the game board.
