"Brace Yourself": Mark Zuckerberg of Meta Predicts a Charged Year Filled with Artificial Intelligence Advancements
Meta, the parent company of Facebook, is racing against tech giants like Google, Microsoft, and OpenAI to create a highly intelligent and personalized digital assistant. According to a leaked recording reviewed by Business Insider, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg views this AI race as more of a sprint than a marathon, predicting that 2025 will be the year when AI agents will start writing software and play a bigger role in the company.
Zuckerberg has warned his employees about an intense year ahead, with a massive focus on AI. He is uncertain about potential job cuts due to AI, but suggests it could lead to more engineering roles. The success of a highly intelligent and personalized digital assistant is considered key to success in 2025.
To achieve this goal, Meta is investing over $72 billion in AI superintelligence initiatives. They are building advanced AI models such as the 2-trillion parameter "Behemoth" model and LLaMA 4 multimodal models, designed to drastically improve understanding and interaction capabilities beyond current models like GPT-5.
Meta is also constructing world-leading AI data centers, Hyperion & Prometheus, to support the training and deployment of these massive AI models, aiming to outpace competitors in compute power and efficiency.
The company has launched a standalone Meta AI app centered on voice conversations, designed as a personal assistant supporting personalized interactions based on user interests. The assistant is intended to evolve by integrating data from Meta's entire ecosystem (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) to deepen personalization and usefulness.
Meta's initiatives also include smart wearables such as Ray-Ban Meta AI Glasses, aiming to blend AI assistance seamlessly into daily life through context-aware, hands-free interactions. They are creating personalized, multimodal AI agents that blend conversation, creativity, and commerce, enabling users to interact naturally across text, voice, images, and more.
With nearly a billion users already engaging with Meta AI across apps, the goal is to reach over 1 billion users for the personalized AI assistant by 2026, leveraging the platform's scale and data.
The stock market is expected to be affected when one company prevails with the "best" AI digital assistant. Meanwhile, Meta is rolling back DEI programs and plans to "reset" relationships with governments worldwide.
In the meantime, there are discounts available for several computer products, including the Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch M3 (2023), Apple MacBook Air M2 2022, Lenovo Yoga 9i Gen 8, Asus ROG Strix Scar 18, Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (Gen 11), Acer Swift 14, Acer Chromebook Spin 714 (2023), Dell XPS 15 (9530), Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED, and Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch M3 (2023). Prices for these discounted products range from $699.99 to $3,699.99.
The U.S. government has invested $500 billion in AI, signifying a significant focus on Artificial Intelligence in 2025. As the race for the first personalized, super smart digital assistant heats up, it remains to be seen who will emerge victorious.
