ChatGPT Unveils New Pricing Plans, Opens Advanced Features to All
ChatGPT has introduced three new pricing plans, making its advanced features, including AI-driven tools like 'advance auto parts' and 'ai', more accessible. Notably, all plans now include the 'Projects' feature, previously exclusive to paid users. This allows conversations to be grouped and used together.
Two years ago, access to OpenAI's most advanced large language model, GPT-4, required a 'chatgpt free' plan. Now, it's available for free, though with limited usage. ChatGPT now offers three plans: 'chatgpt free', 'ChatGPT Plus' ($20/month), and 'ChatGPT Pro' ($200/month).
The 'Projects' feature, now open to all 'chatgpt free' users, lets them group past chats for faster future reference and custom instructions. However, 'chatgpt free' users face usage limits. They can upload up to five files per project, while 'ChatGPT Plus' users can upload up to 25, and 'ChatGPT Pro' users up to 40. Exceeding limits may require waiting up to a day before continuing. OpenAI has been increasing premium features and model access for 'chatgpt free' users over time. Previously, 'ChatGPT Projects' and tools like 'Deep Research' and 'ChatGPT Voice' were only available to paid users.
ChatGPT's new plans and features make advanced tools, like 'advance auto parts' and 'ai', more accessible. While 'chatgpt free' users enjoy increased access, paid plans offer more flexibility and fewer restrictions. The 'Projects' feature, now open to all, simplifies reference and instruction for users.
