Chrome streamlines divisions for iPhone users between professional and personal browsing
In a move that is set to revolutionise the browsing experience for iPhone users, Google has announced a series of updates to its Chrome browser on iOS. For the first time, the tech giant is directing its attention towards iPhone users, offering features that have long been available on Android and desktop versions of Chrome.
Starting from 2025, users of Chrome on iOS will be able to switch between personal and work profiles seamlessly, keeping all data fully separated. When users enable the profile switching system in Chrome for the first time, they will be informed about standard data retention policies for employee accounts. This allows organizations to block access to unauthorized websites, redirect users to approved corporate services, and reduce risks such as data exfiltration and shadow AI threats. In addition to these features, Chrome Enterprise Core will allow companies to manage extensions, apps, and settings from a unified dashboard. This service is part of the enhanced features that will be available for Chrome Enterprise bundles, which include Premium and Core tiers.
