Clothing vendor Avitos introduces a fresh selection for trial garments
Avito, a leading online marketplace in Russia, has announced the launch of a unique clothing try-on feature for buyers and sellers. This new service, unparalleled in C2C transactions on other resale platforms, allows users to try on clothing, shoes, and accessories at Avito Branded Delivery pickup points across Russia.
How the Clothing Try-On Feature Works
While the exact workings of the try-on feature on Avito may not be detailed in the search results, the service can be generally understood as follows:
- Seller Requirements: Sellers are encouraged to provide high-quality images and detailed descriptions of the clothing items, including measurements and fabric details.
- Buyer Interaction: Buyers can ask questions directly to sellers about the fit and material of the clothing.
- Feedback Mechanism: Buyers can leave feedback after purchasing, which helps other buyers make informed decisions.
Try-On Procedure
To use the new try-on option, buyers must select an Avito pickup point with a fitting room when placing an order. Upon arrival, they have 15 minutes to try on the item. If the item fits, buyers can confirm the purchase using the app code, and the seller receives payment immediately.
Safety and Refunds
Avito ensures a safe transaction policy for all try-on items. If the item doesn't fit, buyers can return it for a full refund. If there are any issues with the item upon pickup, buyers can refuse the purchase and receive a full refund, with Avito compensating the seller for any damage to the item during try-on.
Test Phase and Availability
The try-on feature is currently in a test phase for some sellers and buyers in August. Clothing, shoes, and accessories, excluding underwear, swimwear, homewear, hair accessories, socks, tights, and stockings, can be tried on. From August 11 to September 7, users can buy items from influencers on Avito.
The try-on feature is available only at Avito Branded Delivery pickup points marked as "Avito" during checkout. As a bonus, users receive 10% cashback when paying with an Alpha Bank card for purchases from private sellers on Avito Delivery from July 3rd.
The Benefits of the Try-On Feature
Avito has introduced this feature to make selling items easier and shopping more comfortable for users. Over 30% of users have needed to try on clothing, shoes, or accessories upon pickup, and this new service aims to streamline the process and reduce returns.
Sergei Khakimov, Senior Product Director at Avito Goods, stated that this feature was long-awaited by all Avito users. With the try-on feature, Avito continues to innovate and improve the online shopping experience for its users.
