Cologix boosts its presence in Toronto via purchase of CIM Group's stake in TOR4 and strategic acquisition of the 105 Clegg Data Center owned by CIM Group.
Cologix Expands Canadian Presence with Acquisition of TOR4 and TOR5 Data Centers
Cologix, a leading network and data center company, has announced its acquisition of two data centers in Toronto – TOR4 and TOR5. This move reinforces Cologix's continued investment in the Canadian market.
The acquisitions include TOR4, a hyperscale data center in Toronto, and TOR5, strategically located in the same high-demand tech corridor as TOR4. The TOR5 data center at 105 Clegg Road was previously owned by Equinix.
Laura Ortman, CEO of Cologix, stated that the acquisitions deepen their investment in Canada. "We are committed to providing our customers with the best possible infrastructure to support their growing needs," she said.
TOR4, located in Markham, Ontario, is part of Cologix's Scalelogix portfolio. It offers high-density, ultra-low latency solutions for cloud providers, carriers, and enterprises. TOR5, on the other hand, delivers 14MW of capacity and over 90,000 square feet. Together, these data centers provide meaningful capacity expansion potential for the Toronto market.
Cologix's data centers are AI-ready and industry-leading, providing scalable, flexible, and sustainable options. They also offer extensive physical and virtual connections through Access Marketplace for on-demand connectivity.
Cologix now operates a portfolio of 22 data centers across Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. Since 1994, CIM, the company behind these acquisitions, has delivered over $60 billion of essential real estate and infrastructure projects across the Americas.
CIM Group, the owner, operator, lender, and developer of the acquired data centers, is a community-focused real estate and infrastructure owner, operator, lender, and developer. They strive to make a meaningful difference in the world by executing key environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.
