Lawo's IP-Based Audio Infrastructure Shines at Concert de Paris
The Concert de Paris, held on France's National Day on 14 July 2025, showcased Lawo's IP-based audio infrastructure, delivering broadcast-grade, flawless sound to over 100,000 spectators and millions of viewers worldwide.
The event, broadcast live on France 2, france.tv, and simulcast by EBU-Eurovision in more than 10 countries, featured the Orchestre National de France, the Chœur, and Maîtrise de Radio France. Internationally renowned opera singers and soloists, including Aida Garifullina, Julie Fuchs, and Cristian Măcelaru, conducted the performances.
At the heart of the audio production was a sophisticated IP Audio-over-IP (AoIP) network, which ensured exceptional audio quality and seamless coordination across multiple mixing desks. Nadège Antonini managed the orchestral mix and FOH output using a 48-fader mc256 console at the front-of-house position. Stéphane Thouvenin managed the soloists and choirs on a 32-fader desk at FOH. Stage monitoring was managed by Tahar Boukhlifa and Charles Bouticourt using a 32-fader mc256 with a 16-fader extender in a two-operator configuration.
Radio France, led by Christophe Lukaszewski, operated Lawo's audio infrastructure for the public address system. A central HOME management cluster connected, managed, and secured all aspects of this live production environment. The concert reached 2.9 million viewers on France 2, demonstrating the critical role of Lawo’s IP-based audio infrastructure in delivering an immersive and reliable sound experience both on-site and worldwide.
The concert culminated traditionally with the fireworks at the Eiffel Tower, and the event drew millions of radio and TV viewers, further highlighting the importance of Lawo’s technology in ensuring a successful and memorable event.
