Decentralized Perpetuals Exchange referred to as Avantis, explained here.

In the ever-evolving world of decentralized finance (DeFi), a new player has entered the scene: Avantis. This innovative platform, available on prominent exchanges such as Coinbase Spot, Binance, Bybit, Upbit, and Bithumb, is making waves with its unique approach to trading fees and its expansive range of asset markets.

Avantis stands out from traditional DeFi exchanges by offering a fee system that only charges traders when their trades are profitable. This groundbreaking model aims to eliminate the risk of losing money on unsuccessful trades for traders.

The platform, which runs on Coinbase's Ethereum Layer-2 network, Base, now offers 22 real-world asset markets in addition to crypto perpetuals. Traders can now access a wide variety of assets, including forex pairs, gold, oil, and stock indices, in addition to cryptocurrencies.

Avantis also addresses the issues of centralized exchanges by offering transparency, non-custodial trading, and improved liquidity. The platform's unique liquidity structure allows liquidity providers to choose their level of risk, and it offers up to 500× leverage.

The AVNT token, an ERC20 token with a total supply of one billion, serves as the backbone of the Avantis ecosystem. It is used for governance, staking, incentives, and as ecosystem fuel. The token allocation includes on-chain incentives, investors, team & advisors, community airdrop, builder & ecosystem grants, liquidity reserve, treasury/foundation, and builder & ecosystem grants.

Avantis secured $8 million in a Series A funding round, led by Pantera Capital and Founders Fund, further solidifying its position in the DeFi market. The platform aims to become DeFi's universal leverage layer, merging traditional finance and DeFi.

As of September 2025, between 209 and 263 million AVNT tokens were already in circulation. The total value locked on Avantis has climbed to $23 million. Notably, Avantis ran airdrop campaigns on MEXC and WEEX, giving out $60,000 in rewards.

In June 2025, Avantis was launched as a new decentralized perpetuals exchange. The AVNT token, with a fixed supply of one billion, is used to reward liquidity providers and influence the direction of Avantis.

In conclusion, Avantis is a fresh and exciting addition to the DeFi landscape. Its unique fee system, expansive asset markets, and focus on transparency and improved liquidity make it an attractive choice for traders looking to venture into the world of decentralized finance.
