This futuristic yet classic-inspired vehicle boasts a range of up to 580 km on a full charge, making it a formidable competitor in the premium electric sports car segment.
Exterior Design
The MG Cyberster stands out with its electric scissor doors reminiscent of Lamborghini, a classic roadster silhouette, and a drag coefficient of 0.26 for aerodynamic efficiency. The soft fabric convertible roof opens and closes in about 10 seconds, operable at speeds up to 50 kph. LED projector headlights with distinctive DRLs, a full-width LED rear light bar, and Kammback rear design add to its distinctive appearance. The vehicle rides on large 20-inch dual-tone lightweight alloy wheels fitted with Pirelli P-Zero tires.
Performance and Range
The MG Cyberster is powered by a 77 kWh battery placed between the axles, and it delivers a range of approximately 580 km on a full charge. The vehicle is equipped with regenerative braking controlled via paddle shifters, enhancing its electric performance while balancing sporty driving dynamics.
Interior and Features
The driver-centric cockpit of the MG Cyberster features a futuristic airplane-like three-screen setup: a 10.25-inch central touchscreen flanked by two 7-inch digital panels for real-time data and controls. Premium sustainable materials, including Dinamica suede and vegan leather upholstery, adorn the interior. Dual-zone automatic climate control with PM2.5 air filtration, an advanced BOSE audio system with noise compensation, and 6-way electrically adjustable heated seats complete the luxurious cabin experience.
Safety features include a high-strength H-shaped full cradle frame, a Static Stability Factor (SSF) of 1.83 for rollover resistance, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), driver monitoring, electronic stability control, electronic differential lock, multiple airbags (dual front and side), and more.
Pricing
The MG Cyberster is sold through MG Select outlets, offered in fully loaded trims. It comes with a portable 3.3 kW charger, a 7.4 kW wall box charger, and installation included in the price. MG also offers a lifetime battery warranty for the first owner and a three-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty for the vehicle.
In summary, the MG Cyberster combines striking futuristic design with classic roadster cues, a strong electric powertrain delivering good range, a high-tech and comfortable interior, safety-rich advanced features, and pricing that reflects its segment-leading exclusivity. It aims to be MG's flagship electric sports convertible in the Indian market.
