Detectronic & Netmore Team Up to Boost UK Wastewater Monitoring
Detectronic and Netmore Group have joined forces to enhance wastewater monitoring in the UK. The partnership sees Detectronic's LoRaWAN-enabled PAL sensors integrated into Netmore's advanced metering infrastructure, marking a significant step towards smarter water management.
The collaboration will result in the deployment of over 90,000 sewer monitors across Yorkshire Water's network. These include 65,000 Pressure Alarm (PAL) sensors and 27,000 LIDoTT Alarms, providing precise data delivery through long-range, battery-powered communication on Netmore's LoRaWAN network. This supports Yorkshire Water's smart meter program and planned maintenance efforts.
Expressing excitement about the partnership, Vadim Lyu, Netmore's UK Managing Director, stated, 'We're committed to innovation and sustainability, and this collaboration is a testament to that.' Rob Button, Service Delivery Director at Detectronic, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the company's role in job creation within the region.
With Detectronic's robust and scalable network infrastructure, as highlighted by Gavin Wagstaff, Product & Data Director, the partnership promises improved wastewater management and enhanced data collection. This initiative is set to benefit both the environment and the local economy.
