SOARING HIGH AND CAPTURING DREAMS-13 years ago, I embarked on a mission to merge my passion for flying drones and filmmaking into a thriving career. However, the FAA's strict regulations seemed like insurmountable obstacles, especially the need for a "333 exemption" for commercial drone operation which required a full pilot's license.

Determined as ever, I took on jobs with more than a dozen drone companies and channeled my experiences, along with my creative flair for close-proximity flying, into what is now Beverly Hills Aerials. Our unique blend of innovation, efficiency, and talent pushes the boundaries of aerial cinematography.

When it comes to the drones themselves, DJI has been our go-to manufacturer. Their products are reliable, accessible, and consistently evolve, offering substantial upgrades in theircamera quality, sensors, and features that boost our workflow efficiency. My journey with DJI began back with the first generation of DJI's Phantom drone– the Phantom 1. These drones played a significant role in my transformation into Beverly Hills Aerials' Chief Pilot, and they've been instrumental in shaping our business and filmmaking practices today.

Currently, we mainly use DJI's latest offering–the Inspire 3–for our production work. This drone is not just powerful but also versatile, boasting features that make it indispensable for us filmmakers. The Inspire 3's camera sensors are a game-changer, providing a robust omnidirectional sensing system for comprehensive protection during flights.

The drone's dual native ISO is exceptionally helpful for filming in low-light settings or at night, resulting in sharper footage compared to earlier versions. Moreover, its custom lens adapters cater to various landscapes and conditions, enabling creative adaptability.

The Inspire 3's larger field of view allows us to get closer to subjects, enhancing precision and confidence for filmmakers. The drone's O3 Pro video transmission system, too, offers unparalleled range and signal stability, making it possible to capture frankly impossible shots till now. The compact design of the Inspire 3 makes it convenient to travel, perfect for projects outside of Los Angeles.

In situations where a smaller footprint is essential, the Inspire 3 excels. For instance, its maneuverability and ability to travel well were essential when filming car commercials for Audi or Spider-Man Noir – both projects for which we've used the Inspire 3 extensively. The drone's adaptability and transportability have also made it an ideal choice for productions like Happy Gilmore 2, set to release this year.

In conclusion, DJI drones have been revolutionary in my career, enabling me to translate my visions into stunning footage. Their versatility and advanced features have become integral to our work, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with them for future projects.
