Elon Musk resumes slumbering in meeting rooms and production facilities once more.
Elon Musk Focuses on Company Operations following X Outage
In response to a recent two-hour global outage on the social media platform X, its CEO, Elon Musk, has announced a shift in focus towards operational improvements across his companies. This decision comes after the outage highlighted the need for larger operational improvements within X.
Musk, who has been actively involved in the government department for state efficiency under Donald Trump's administration, revealed that he will now dedicate more time to X, Tesla, SpaceX, and the AI developer xAI. Although he was instrumental in pushing for significant cost and personnel cuts within the US government apparatus, Musk has scaled back this activity.
The billionaire entrepreneur, who has a busy schedule as the owner or CEO of multiple companies, vowed to work around the clock seven days a week and sleep in conference, server, and factory rooms. Musk believes that this dedication is necessary to tackle the systemic issues that led to the recent X outages and bring important technologies to market.
Since the outage, Musk has expressed the need for enhancing X's infrastructure and resilience to prevent future disruptions. It was initially speculated that the outage was a result of a cyberattack, but further investigations revealed that it was due to a data center failure.
The online service X resumed operation around 5 PM CET, following the approximate two-hour outage that occurred around 3 PM. SpaceX, another of Musk's companies, has announced plans to launch its new giant rocket Starship into space next week. However, the top stage of the rocket exploded during both previous test flights.

Elon Musk, recognizing the need to strengthen X's infrastructure and resilience following the recent outage, will channel a significant portion of his time to addressing systemic issues within X, Tesla, SpaceX, and xAI, as he prioritizes operational improvements in these companies. In light of this, Musk's focus on government department efficiency for state savings has diminished compared to his commitment to technology, science, and space-and-astronomy ventures.
