Elon Musk's Fortune Tops $500 Billion as xAI Joins Tesla and SpaceX
Elon Musk, the visionary entrepreneur, has extended his business empire beyond Tesla and SpaceX, now including an artificial intelligence start-up, xAI, valued at £150 billion. Musk briefly lost his title as the world's richest person last month but has since reclaimed it.
Musk's fortune reached $500 billion (£375 billion), making him the first person to achieve this milestone. His companies contribute significantly to his wealth: SpaceX is valued at about $168 billion, while xAI is around $75 billion. Speculation is rife that he could become the world's first trillionaire in the coming years.
Tesla, where Musk owns 12%, has seen its shares double in value since March, although they are up only 13% so far this year. The electric vehicle maker is now the world's most valuable car company, with a market capitalisation of over $1 trillion. Musk's rocket company, SpaceX, however, recently lost its title as the world's most valuable start-up to OpenAI, valued at £375 billion.
Elon Musk's business interests continue to grow and diversify, with his latest venture, xAI, valued at £150 billion. His fortune stands at $500 billion, and with a new pay deal from Tesla worth up to $1 trillion over the next decade, Musk's journey towards becoming the world's first trillionaire continues.
