Esports World Cup Alliance Joins Forces with Amazon for a Three-Year Partnership

The Esports World Cup (EWC) is set to level up its global visibility and fan experience, thanks to a new three-year partnership with Amazon Ads. This collaboration will integrate the EWC with Amazon's full-funnel advertising and entertainment services, making esports more accessible and deeply integrated into everyday digital lives.

The partnership will leverage Amazon's popular platforms, including Twitch, Prime Video, Alexa, and Wondery, to offer fans an array of immersive and interactive experiences. Fans can stream live matches on Twitch, enjoy an original EWC docuseries on Prime Video, receive real-time updates via Alexa, and experience narrative-driven content through the Wondery podcast network.

The 2025 Esports World Cup event will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 7 to August 24. The tournament will feature 2,000 elite players from over 100 countries competing for a record-breaking prize pool exceeding $70 million.

Mike McCabe, Chief Operating Officer at the Esports World Cup Foundation, stated that the partnership will embed esports into the daily digital lives of millions globally, creating an immersive multimedia experience. The collaboration also aims to expand the tournament's presence in key global markets, including the United States, Europe, Brazil, Mexico, the Middle East, North Africa, Turkiye, India, and Canada.

The partnership will enable brands to connect directly with the next generation of esports audiences through programmatic media, exclusive content, and integrated retail experiences. Additionally, the Esports World Cup will coincide with the Esports World Cup Festival in Riyadh, offering fans a rich array of experiences, including live music, cosplay, anime cafes, creator studios, retro arcades, and more.

While the exact role of Rayan Karaky in the partnership is yet to be specified, it is clear that this collaboration marks a significant step forward in transforming fan engagement in esports, merging high-stakes competition with captivating digital storytelling and entertainment.
