Expansive Airport Facility Introduces Blue Sky Elite Lounge at Makassar Airport
In an effort to enhance premium travel experiences in major global airports, Airport Dimensions has launched the Blue Sky Premier Lounge at Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport in Indonesia. This marks the 17th addition to Airport Dimensions' network of over 80 airport lounges worldwide.
Located within the domestic terminal, adjacent to security and a short distance from the gates, the Blue Sky Premier Lounge spans approximately 500 square meters and can accommodate up to 137 guests. The lounge is designed to cater to the growing passenger traffic at Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport, one of Indonesia's fastest-growing cities.
The Blue Sky Premier Lounge offers a blend of world-class comfort and local culture, providing travelers with a premium experience. Business travellers can utilize two productivity zones equipped with high-speed WiFi, while additional amenities include VIP private rooms, separate prayer rooms, a nursery for families, buffet-style dining, and a designated smoking area with Honeywell air purification systems.
Access to the Blue Sky Premier Lounge is open to all passengers, regardless of airline or ticket class. Members of Priority Pass and LoungeKey can take advantage of this lounge, with access obtainable through pre-booking, on-the-spot purchases, or partnerships with member programs, subject to availability.
The lounge's opening follows a strategic investment in PT Bumi Liputan Angkasa, a subsidiary of Blue Sky Group, announced in March. Blue Sky Group CEO Linan Kurniahu expressed excitement about partnering with Airport Dimensions to open the Blue Sky Premier Lounge at Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport.
Airport Dimensions EMEA and APAC president Errol McGlothan stated that the lounge's opening underscores their commitment to expanding their footprint across the Asia-Pacific region. Last month, Airport Dimensions launched its Connecta+ platform, which integrates digital services, lounges, and commercial opportunities into a unified ecosystem.
The Blue Sky Premier Lounge at Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport provides dedicated ambassadors for check-in assistance and a buggy service to transport guests to the gate, ensuring a seamless travel experience for all.
