Five Monkeys Media Finalizes Weka Acquisition, Forms New Media Group
Five Monkeys Media GmbH has finalized the acquisition of Weka Media Publishing GmbH, effective October 1, 2022. The deal sees the formation of Five Monkeys Media Group, which will operate under a new name and bring together all technology, imaging, and audio brands. Wolfgang Heinen, Myriam Karsch, Andreas Laube, and Florian Schuster will share the management of the new group.
The acquisition includes prominent brands such as 'connect', 'PCgo + PC Magazin', and 'Audio+stereoplay', as well as the renowned connect Testlab. This unique facility in Germany leads the way in measuring European radio standards. The former Weka Media Publishing GmbH employees, numbering 59 full-time staff at the Haar bei München location, will continue their roles within the new group. The takeover from the Weka Group was completed on October 1, 2025, marking a significant milestone for Five Monkeys Media Group.
