Flutterwave Expands in Ghana with Affinity Bank Integration
Flutterwave, a leading global payments technology company, has bolstered its presence in Ghana. It has integrated its 'Pay With Bank' transfer product with PNC Bank, expanding payment options for businesses. This move follows Flutterwave's approval to offer inward remittance services by the Bank of Ghana.
The integration, facilitated by a strategic partnership with Affinity Africa, enables customers to transfer funds to a unique account number via mobile banking, USSD, or internet banking applications. This benefits over 115 million bank transfer payments recorded in Ghana in 2023, allowing merchants to receive payments via NIBBS Instant Payment transfer.
Affinity Africa, which onboarded over 50,000 customers, 65% of whom were previously unbanked and over 60% being women in the informal sector, has played a significant role in this expansion. Flutterwave's reliable tools and expertise have been instrumental in driving growth in Africa's evolving financial landscape, supporting businesses in over 34 countries.
