New York City's White & Case LLP Headquarters Unveils Hybrid Event Space
White & Case LLP's headquarters in New York City has recently opened a new event space, designed for hybrid meetings and immersive experiences. The space, spanning 40,000 square feet, is the latest collaboration between White & Case and Convene, under the brand Quorum by Convene.
The design goal for the event space was to deliver a high-quality experience while accommodating smaller presentations. The space includes a 3,932-square-foot Grand Hall, equipped with a 160-foot UHD LED video wall, showcasing a curved SiliconCore LED video ribbon. Beyond the video wall, the Grand Hall features Sony 4K PTZ cameras, Shure Axient digital wireless handheld microphones, and Renkus-Heinz digitally steerable line arrays.
The Grand Hall's stage and seating are reconfigurable, providing flexibility for various events. The space is used for White & Case's internal events, such as town halls, strategy forums, and training sessions, which are also broadcast to their global offices.
Clients for Quorum by Convene seek high-level production values for their events, including high-quality cameras, great lighting, and dynamic graphics. To meet these requirements, the company involved in the technical integration of the hybrid conference system at White & Case LLP's flagship venue in New York City was Crestron, primarily led by IVCi.
IVCi and its AV distribution partner, ZeeVee, designed a more flexible solution utilizing AV-over-IP technology. This solution allowed for seamless integration of the Grand Hall with the overflow/breakout spaces, despite the challenges posed by supply chain issues.
The space also offers two open-air galleries with full videoconferencing capabilities, four divisible conference rooms, and spaces equipped for refreshments. Quorum by Convene handles turnkey event management for organizations using White & Case's event space, including event planning, technology, and AV services.
The selection of SiliconCore LED video wall technology was influenced by the building's cooling capacity and power limitations. The close working relationship between TAD and IVCi was crucial due to the project's technological requirements and supply chain challenges.
The project faced challenges due to its timing, requiring multiple iterations of the AV design and navigating supply chain disruptions. Despite these challenges, the new event space at White & Case LLP's headquarters is now open and available for external organizations seeking a similar venue through White & Case's collaboration with Convene, under the brand Quorum by Convene.
