Gamuda, via DT Infrastructure, has secured a significant contract for the Marinus Link project in Australia. The deal, worth over A$5 billion, involves civil and electrical infrastructure works, including converter stations and 90 km of land cable works. Samsung C&T will contribute its global expertise in HVDC systems to the project.

The contract, finalized with Clough Ltd, covers the implementation of converter stations at Heybridge in Tasmania and Hazelwood in Victoria. The project aims to connect Tasmania and Victoria with low-cost clean energy, with completion targeted for 2030. Gamuda's property development arm, Gamuda Land, is also thriving in Vietnam with eight projects committed to sustainable living spaces.

In a separate development, TasVic Greenlink, a joint venture between DT Infrastructure and Samsung C&T, was awarded the balance of the works package for Stage 1 of Marinus Link. Meanwhile, Gamuda Land Vietnam and Samsung Vina Electronics have signed a strategic partnership to research and develop smart technology solutions in real estate.

The Marinus Link project, expected to commence in 2026 subject to approvals, will significantly boost Australia's clean energy infrastructure. The final contract value is set to be announced by end-September 2025 before work begins.
