Garmin Venu 4 Shows Improved Heart Rate Accuracy After Initial Glitch
Garmin's latest smartwatch, the Venu 4, has shown promising results in initial heart rate accuracy tests, despite a rocky start. The device, developed by Garmin Ltd., demonstrated improved performance after a brief pause during a 7km run, matching the readings of the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and the industry-standard Polar H10.
The Garmin Venu 4's heart rate readings initially differed significantly from the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and the Polar H10 during a 7km run. However, after a pause and restart, the Venu 4's readings closely matched the control watch for the remainder of the run. The average heart rate recorded by the Venu 4 was 151bpm, closely following the 156bpm recorded by the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and the Polar H10.
The Venu 4, light for its size and featuring a bright display, is expected to be a top release in Garmin's 2025 lineup. Further accuracy tests are planned to ensure consistent performance. The full review of the Garmin Venu 4 will be published later.
The Garmin Venu 4 showed initial inaccuracies in heart rate readings but improved later in the test. After a pause and restart, it closely matched the readings of the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and the industry-standard Polar H10. Despite this hiccup, the Venu 4 is expected to be a strong contender in Garmin's 2025 lineup, with more tests planned to ensure consistent performance.
