Climate change tops the list of Germans' most urgent human issues, as per a recent poll. Eighty percent of respondents deem digital and intelligent power grids vital for a stable power supply. Furthermore, 76% believe these grids can promote the use of renewable energies.
The potential of digital technologies in climate protection is acknowledged by 56% of German citizens. Specifically, 73% anticipate digital traffic control to help avoid traffic jams and reduce CO2 emissions. Additionally, 66% believe autonomous cars could contribute to emission reductions.
Support for digital heating control is also high, with 82% believing it can significantly reduce energy consumption.
