Gmail's New End-to-End Encryption Rolls Out for Enterprise Users

Google has enhanced Gmail's security with a new end-to-end encryption feature. From October 2022, Enterprise Plus users with the Assured Controls add-on can send encrypted emails to anyone, regardless of their email provider, be it Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook, or MSN. However, this feature needs admin activation.

Gmail is rolling out end-to-end encryption for enterprise users. This means users can send encrypted messages to any user on any email platform, including Hotmail, Outlook, or MSN, with just a few clicks. Recipients will receive a notification and can access the message via a guest account.

This new feature is exclusive to organizations using Google Workspace Enterprise Plus with the Assured Controls add-on. These organizations must manually enable the encrypted end-to-end email function starting October 2, 2022. It's important to note that this feature will not be enabled by default and requires admin activation.
