Great Wall Motor (GWM) Posts Strong July Sales, Boosted by New Energy Vehicles

Great Wall Motor (GWM) has reported a significant increase in its vehicle sales for July 2025, with a total of 104,372 units sold, marking a 14.34% year-on-year growth. However, the sales figure represents a 5.71% decrease compared to June.

The growth in sales can be largely attributed to the strong performance of GWM's new energy vehicles (NEVs), which accounted for 33.14% of the total sales in July. The Tank brand led the charge, selling 20,020 vehicles, followed by the Wey brand with 10,045 units and the Ora brand with 4,300 units.

The strong focus on electrification and premium new energy models, such as the TANK 300 and WEY Gaoshan, seems to be paying off for GWM. The company sold 34,593 NEVs in July, a 43.27% year-on-year increase. Overseas sales also rose by 7.60%.

In the first seven months of 2025, GWM sold a total of 674,161 vehicles, an increase of 3.57% year-on-year. The company sold 41,088 vehicles overseas during this period, up 24.59% year-on-year. The Haval brand, which accounted for 53.87% of GWM's monthly sales in July, sold 56,221 vehicles.

Looking ahead, GWM's chairman has hinted at the development of a supercar that could rival Ferrari, adding to the excitement surrounding the company's future.

In the first seven months of the year, GWM sold a total of 195,007 NEVs, up 24.59% year-on-year. The company aims to continue its focus on electrification and international expansion, with the goal of maintaining its strong market performance.
