HPQ Ships First Industrial Batch of High-Performance Battery Cells
HPQ Silicon Inc. has shipped its first industrial batch of high-performance lithium-ion battery cells, designed for discussions with potential clients in Montreal. These cells, available in 18650 and 21700 formats, offer superior energy density and cycle life compared to competitors.
The cells, manufactured under the HPQ ENDURA+ brand, boast up to 1,000 charge cycles and high energy density, positioning them to meet the growing demand for advanced auto parts. They are priced between US$4.50 and US$8.00 per cell, competitive with market equivalents.
HPQ has subcontracted the production of these cells to an established large-scale battery manufacturer, allowing for scalable and flexible production. This partnership projects an annual production capacity of up to 1.5 million cells through HPQ's collaboration with Novacium SAS. The company has also extended the exercise date of outstanding share purchase warrants until November 23, 2027.
HPQ Silicon Inc.'s ENDURA+ cells are set to make a splash in the batteries plus market, with their superior performance and competitive pricing. The company's strategic partnerships ensure scalable production, positioning HPQ to meet the increasing demand for advanced auto technology.
