The automotive world is abuzz with excitement as Hyundai has announced the debut of the Hyundai Concept Three at the Munich Motor Show. This electric hatchback showcases Hyundai's 'Art of Steel' design language, offering a glimpse into the future of Hyundai's electric vehicles.

The Concept Three bears a striking resemblance to the Ioniq 6 in design, featuring full-width light bars front and back, a ducktail rear wing and diffuser, front splitter, meaty haunches, and a steeply raked windscreen. While the Concept Three is currently just a concept, it previews a new, smaller Ioniq EV that is expected to be the Hyundai Ioniq 3.

Simon Loasby, Senior Vice President and Head of Hyundai Design Center, along with Nicola Danza as Head of Exterior Design at Hyundai Design Center Europe, have played key roles in shaping the Concept Three. They have rethought the design from the ground up, creating a 'Aero Hatch' typology that aims for a sense of flow and a beautifully proportioned sculpture.

Meanwhile, Hyundai has also started rolling out its dedicated electric car platform - E-GMP. The Ioniq 3 is expected to use this platform, joining the ranks of Hyundai and Kia EVs such as the Ioniq 5 and the upcoming Ioniq 6 saloon. The Ioniq 3 is expected to be a smaller EV than the Ioniq 6 saloon, and it is rumoured to share its underpinnings with the Kia EV3.

The Ioniq 3 is expected to be powered by a single 201bhp electric motor and will have a battery capacity of either 58.3kWh or 81.4kWh. This could potentially give the Ioniq 3 a range of up to 372 miles, making it a strong contender in the electric vehicle market.

In other news, Hyundai has teased the design sketch of the Ioniq 6 as its debut nears. The production version of the Ioniq 5 is also in development, promising an exciting future for Hyundai's electric vehicle lineup.

However, the debut of the Ioniq 6 has been delayed, and the Hyundai SEVEN Concept has been teased, expected to be a preview of the Ioniq 7 electric SUV. Despite these delays, Hyundai continues to push the boundaries of electric vehicle design and performance, making it an exciting time to be a part of the automotive industry.
