IHSE USA unveils their latest DisplayPort 1.2 Extender Series lineup
IHSE USA has unveiled a new generation of digital KVM signal extension with the launch of the Draco vario XS DisplayPort 1.2 Extender Series. This innovative series, based on the JPEG XS video codec, offers high-performance extenders for 4K60 at an affordable price.
Real 60-Hz Refresh Rate and Full Color Depth
The Draco vario XS 1.2 supports a real 60-Hz refresh rate and full color depth (24 bit, 4:4:4), making it possible to display high-quality video at resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 and 3840 x 2160. This makes it the first family of 4K KVM extenders to support 60 Hz refresh rates with full color depth over a 1 Gbps data path, ensuring high video fidelity with relatively low bandwidth.
Integration into Existing IHSE Draco tera Matrix Systems
The extenders in the Draco vario XS series can be seamlessly integrated into any existing IHSE Draco tera matrix system, operating at 1 Gbps or 3 Gbps bandwidths for video transfer. This cost-effective upgrade allows for an upgrade to 4K/60 within an existing IHSE KVM system.
JPEG XS Video Codec and Low-Latency Compression
The use of the JPEG XS video codec enables high-quality, low-latency video compression for KVM-based AV-over-IP extenders. This revolutionary coding technology ensures brilliant image quality at the highest video resolutions with outstanding color accuracy.
Flexibility and Compatibility
Designed for flexibility and compatibility, the Draco vario XS 1.2 supports parallel control of proprietary and IP-based KVM sources, making it suitable for next-generation operator environments and personal workspace controller concepts.
Applications in Demanding Environments
The Draco vario XS series is ideal for high-performance live production, broadcast, remote workflows, and secure media control scenarios. Its low-latency, high-quality video transmission over 1 Gbps or 3 Gbps links makes it an excellent choice for demanding broadcast and production environments.
In addition, the Draco vario XS 1.2 offers the option for integration of optional Draco vario upgrade modules for digital or analog audio input and output as well as data signals, such as USB 2.0 and RS-232.
In summary, the Draco vario XS series is a new, flexible 4K KVM extender family utilizing JPEG XS compression, providing low-latency, high-quality video transmission over 1 Gbps or 3 Gbps links, compatible with existing IHSE matrix systems and aimed at demanding broadcast and production environments.
