Infinix Unveils the GT 30 Pro: A Mid-Range Gaming Phone Packed with Flagship Features
Infinix has entered the gaming phone market with the release of the GT 30 Pro, a device designed to deliver a flagship-level experience at a more accessible price point. The GT 30 Pro stands out with its high refresh rate AMOLED display, powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate processor, and customizable gaming controls and lighting.
The GT 30 Pro sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED 10-bit display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It boasts up to 4500 nits peak brightness, though typical brightness is reported to be 700 cd/m² with peak 1600 cd/m². The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.
Under the hood, the GT 30 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate, an octa-core processor featuring 1x3.35 GHz Cortex-A715, 3x3.20 GHz Cortex-A715, and 4x2.20 GHz Cortex-A510 cores, and a Mali G615-MC6 GPU. The device comes with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage, without expandable storage. The phone's Antutu score is approximately 1,450,000, outperforming 92% of devices.
In terms of gaming features, the GT 30 Pro includes in-screen fingerprint security, multiple sensors, LED notifications, and a gaming-grade cooling system with RGB lighting. It features physical shoulder triggers customizable for gaming and other shortcuts, replacing attachable freebies from previous models. The rear also sports customizable mechanical RGB lights, known as "Mecha Lights."
The battery capacity is 5500mAh with 45W wired fast charging, plus magnetic and reverse magnetic charging support. The phone also supports 120fps in demanding titles like PUBG Mobile.
Design-wise, the GT 30 Pro adopts a more subdued style compared to the GT 20 Pro, mixing gaming-centric elements with a reflective back panel and mechanical lighting, aiming for a blend of aesthetics and functionality. The included gaming cooler and case add flair and temperature management.
Compared to typical mid-range gaming phones, the GT 30 Pro offers a more toned-down look that appeals to both gamers and general users. With its competitive pricing of around Rs. 24,999 (approximately $300-320 USD), it positions itself competitively against other mid-range gaming phones offering similar specs but often with higher prices or less feature-rich displays.
Infinix's Product Director Weiqi Nie has confirmed that the GT 30 Pro will make its debut in India. The phone's design is designed to stand out, with a custom pattern at the back and vibrant lighting. The GT 30 Pro's cooling system includes intelligent software optimization that dynamically manages power and thermal behavior based on real-time usage.
The GT 30 Pro's accessories, the MagCase and MagCharge Cooler, add further value to the device. The MagCase offers protection and style, while the MagCharge Cooler is an active cooling solution that funnels cool air to the back of the device.
