Introducingthe newest additions: iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, announced by Apple!
The tech giant Apple has announced the availability of its latest offering, the iPhone 14, in several new countries this month. The service is currently available in Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, the U.K., and the U.S., and will be expanding to Austria, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Portugal soon.
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus come in a variety of colours, including midnight, starlight, (PRODUCT)RED, blue, purple, and yellow. Additionally, iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus Silicone Cases will be available in four new colours: canary yellow, olive, sky, and iris.
Apple has also introduced several new features with the iPhone 14 lineup. The devices are powered by A15 Bionic, featuring a 5-core GPU for faster speeds and smoother graphics, a 6-core CPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine for machine learning computations. This powerful chipset powers camera features like Action mode, Cinematic mode, and Photonic Engine.
One of the most significant new features is Emergency SOS via satellite. This feature allows users to message with emergency services when cellular and Wi-Fi coverage are not available. Find My via satellite is also available, enabling users to share their location with others when off the grid.
When paired with Apple Watch, Crash Detection leverages the unique strengths of both devices to get users help efficiently. If a severe car crash is detected, the iPhone 14 lineup can automatically dial emergency services if the user is unconscious or unable to reach their iPhone.
In the U.S., customers can purchase the iPhone 14 for $799 or $33.29 a month for 24 months before trade-in, and the iPhone 14 Plus for $899 or $37.45 a month for 24 months before trade-in. Apple offers credit of up to $800 (US) for iPhone 14 after trade-in directly from Apple when activated with select U.S. carriers.
Apple is committed to minimizing its impact on the environment, and the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are no exception. They are designed to use upcycled plastic water bottles, recycled rare earth elements, recycled tungsten, and recycled tin in various components.
To sweeten the deal, customers who purchase iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus will receive three free months of Apple Arcade and Apple Fitness+ with a new subscription. The service will be included for free for two years starting at the time of activation of a new iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.
Customers in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, South Korea, the U.K., the U.S., and more than 60 other countries can pre-order the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus in yellow starting March 10. The new iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus will be available starting March 14.
iOS 16, the latest operating system for the iPhone, also brings several new features. It features a multilayered Lock Screen, more powerful Focus, Live Activities, improved Messages functionality, safer browsing in Safari, and Live Text enhancements.
Apple's ambitious goal is to be 100% carbon neutral across its entire manufacturing supply chain and all product life cycles by 2030. The company is continually working towards this goal, and the iPhone 14 lineup is a testament to their commitment.
