ITS Robotics Team Sweeps FIRA Roboworld Cup 2025 with 16 Awards
The Robotics Team from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) has made a splash at the FIRA Roboworld Cup 2025 in Daegu, South Korea. The team brought home 16 awards, showcasing their prowess in autonomous car robots and humanoid robots of all sizes.
ITS participated in three categories: autonomous car robots, adult-size humanoid robots, and kid-size humanoid robots. In the autonomous car challenges, Team Iris dominated, securing 1st place in Physics Pro and Race, and 2nd place in Urban.
The adult-size humanoid robots, handled by Team Ichiro, were equally impressive. They swept five events, winning 1st place in United Challenge, All-round, Manipulation, Hybrid, and Mobility. The team's kid-size humanoid robots also excelled. The first team won 2nd place in All-round, Manipulation, Hybrid, and Mobility, while the second team took 3rd place in All-round, Manipulation, Hybrid, and Mobility events.
The ITS Robotics Team's success aligns with the UN's SDG Goals 9 and 4, promoting innovation and quality education. Their dedication, since February 2025, culminated in these remarkable achievements, putting ITS on the global robotics map.
