Jaguar Land Rover Shifts XE Production to Castle Bromwich, Boosts F-Pace Output
Jaguar Land Rover has revealed substantial changes to its production strategies. The Jaguar XE, previously manufactured at Solihull, will now be assembled at Castle Bromwich alongside the XJ, XF, and F-Type models. This relocation is part of a £100m investment to accommodate growing demand for the Jaguar F-Pace, which will continue to be produced at Solihull.
The relocation of XE production from Solihull to Castle Bromwich is a strategic move by Jaguar Land Rover's management, led by CEO Ralf Speth. Castle Bromwich is currently being equipped with new press lines, body shops, and assembly halls to facilitate the XE's production. This expansion will allow Solihull to focus on meeting the high demand for the Jaguar F-Pace, which operates three shifts at the plant.
The £100m investment in Castle Bromwich and the relocation of the Jaguar XE production from Solihull are expected to enhance Jaguar Land Rover's production capabilities. This move will enable the company to meet increasing demand for its vehicles, particularly the Jaguar F-Pace, while ensuring the continued production of the XE and other models at Castle Bromwich.
