Jaguar's Electric Type 00 Concept Showcases a Vibrant, Daring Direction for the Brand's Future
Jaguar Unveils Type 00 Concept Vehicle, Previews Four-Door GT
Jaguar has taken the automotive world by storm with the unveiling of the Type 00 Concept vehicle during Miami Art Week. The digital rendering serves as a sneak peek into the British automaker's future, with all upcoming Jaguars set to be electric vehicles (EVs).
The Type 00, a striking two-door coupe, is designed to embody what's to come from Jaguar. It sits on 23-inch alloy wheels and boasts a glassless rear tailgate, panoramic roof, and Art Deco-inspired Miami Pink and heritage-inspired London Blue colour schemes. Brass is also used on the exterior of the Type 00 for the branding plate, adding a touch of elegance.
Inside, the Type 00's interior is a blend of modern technology and classic Jaguar design. The cabin features an oval steering wheel, a windshield display, and heavy use of brass rods and stone. However, it's important to note that the Type 00 is not for sale.
The Type 00 Concept vehicle offers a glimpse into the design ethos of the forthcoming four-door GT, expected to be Jaguar's first production car of the new era, scheduled for release by summer 2026. The four-door GT will share the same sleek, modern design as the Type 00, with a long front end, a fastback profile, a thick nose, and a two-door configuration.
The four-door GT is set to be powered by an electric motor under the Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA). According to reports, the target range of the four-door GT is an impressive 478 miles, with an EPA range of 430 miles. The vehicle is also expected to have a range of 200 miles after a 15-minute charge.
While details about the two planned SUVs are yet to be released, it's clear that Jaguar is making a bold move towards electric vehicles. The four-door GT and the SUVs are set to join the ranks of the Type 00, promising a future of sleek, stylish, and eco-friendly vehicles from Jaguar.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to follow Jaguar's exciting journey into the electric age.
