Kingston at COMPUTEX 2025 Introduces Gen 5 Consumer and Business SSDs

At Computex 2025, Kingston, a leading memory and storage solutions provider, showcased an array of offerings targeting various sectors, including AI data centers, gaming rigs, mobile workstations, and the aerospace industry.

Gaming Rigs

For gaming enthusiasts, Kingston launched the FURY Renegade G5 PCIe 5.0 NVMe M.2 SSD. This SSD boasts ultra-fast speeds up to 14,800 MB/s read and 14,000 MB/s write, powered by the latest PCIe Gen5 x4 controller and 3D TLC NAND flash. The FURY Renegade G5 SSD is designed to drastically reduce load times and facilitate smooth, lag-free gameplay. Complementing this, Kingston introduced the FURY Beast DDR5 RGB memory, featuring on-die ECC, dual 32-bit subchannels, and integrated power management to enhance performance and stability during gaming sessions.

Content Creators and Mobile Workstations

Kingston catered to content creators and mobile workstations with the NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, offering capacities up to 4TB and speeds up to 6,000/5,000 MB/s. Suitable for compact M.2 solutions, this SSD provides the necessary speed for intensive multitasking and large file transfers. Additionally, Kingston presented the KC3000 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, delivering speeds up to 7,000 MB/s and equipped with a low-profile graphene aluminum heat spreader for effective thermal management during intensive 4K and 3D workloads.

External Storage Needs

For external storage needs such as aerospace or mobile data handling, Kingston revealed the XS1000R external SSD, a sleek and pocket-sized device with speeds up to 1,050 MB/s. Utilizing the Silicon Motion SM2320G controller and Toshiba 112-layer BICS5 3D TLC NAND, this SSD targets mass-market use cases with a good balance between performance and cost. The newer XS2000 external SSD offers up to 2,000 MB/s speeds, IP55 rating for durability, and capacities up to 2TB for rapid transfer of large files such as 4K videos.

High-Capacity Memory

For high-capacity memory geared towards AI data centers and professional workstations, KLEVV (a brand associated with Kingston) showcased a 256GB DDR5 memory configuration using four 64GB URBANE V Solid modules, optimized for demanding multitasking and simulation workloads. They also previewed the GENUINEV RGB DDR5 memory designed for extreme overclocking up to 10,000 MT/s and a DDR5-6000 CL26 CRAS V RGB variant balancing high frequency with low latency, suitable for both AI computational tasks and gaming.

Kingston's motto, "Built on Commitment", indicates a focus on consistency, innovation, and application-ready performance. The company continues to show an understanding of where computing is heading and how data will move in the future.

In addition to these offerings, Kingston also showcased the DC3000ME SSD, a U.2 form factor drive designed for data center workloads and edge computing use cases. The FURY Renegade DDR5 CUDIMM family now supports speeds up to 8800 MT/s, making it the fastest DRAM module the company has released to date. The FURY Renegade G5 SSD features an advanced thermal design to handle sustained workloads.

The Kingston FURY Impact DDR5 CAMM2 modules, designed for high-performance laptops and workstations, support dual-channel memory and capacities of up to 128 GB. The FURY Renegade G5 SSD is available in capacities of up to 4 TB and uses an M.2 2280 form factor. The DataTraveler Exodia S USB Drive offers reliable data transfers for general-purpose use such as schoolwork, media sharing, or backup on the go.

The DC3000ME SSD delivers I/O consistency and low latency, with sequential speeds of up to 14,000 MB/s. The FURY Renegade G5 SSD offers sequential read speeds of up to 14,800 MB/s and write speeds reaching 14,000 MB/s. The FURY Impact series of DDR5 CAMM2 modules are designed for applications where bandwidth is critical, such as simulation workloads, high-resolution media editing, and AAA gaming.
