Kong Inc., a leading API and service connectivity company, has bolstered its Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) team with two seasoned executives. David Carless and Mark West, bringing over 50 years of combined experience, have joined the company to drive sales growth and expand its presence in the region.
Augusto Marietti, CEO of Kong Inc., has appointed David Carless as Vice President of APJ and Mark West as Regional Vice President for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). Carless, with over 30 years in enterprise IT sales and management, will lead regional growth, build and scale teams, and foster channel partnerships in APJ. Meanwhile, West, boasting over 25 years in enterprise software sales and go-to-market leadership, will helm sales strategy and business development in ANZ, focusing on market expansion and customer success.
The company has more than doubled its headcount in the region over the last year and is actively hiring across various departments, including sales, engineering, product, and customer experience. Kong Inc. aims to accelerate API and AI adoption across APJ with these strategic hires. The company recently expanded its office in Bengaluru, India, serving as a key hub for research, development, and innovation.
