Kuwait witnesses a significant step as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) conducts its first AI course for chartered accountants abroad.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India's (ICAI) Kuwait Chapter has made a significant stride in the realm of professional development, hosting a three-day Certificate Course on Artificial Intelligence (AI) from the 29th to the 31st of August 2025 at the Safir Marina Hotel in Kuwait.
The event, which welcomed over 50 Chartered Accountants, was opened with a welcome address by CA Rohit Agarwal. CA Charanjot Singh Nanda, President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, delivered a virtual address, emphasising the importance of such educational initiatives in fostering a vibrant and connected professional community.
The program, conceptualised by CA Aditya Dhanuka, Special Invitee to AI in ICAI committee, in coordination with CA Umesh Sharma, Chairman & CA Dayaniwas Sharma, Vice Chairman, and Mr. Vishnu Garg, Secretary of the AI in ICAI Committee, aimed to reinforce the pivotal role that Chartered Accountants can and will play in driving digital transformation across Kuwait's corporate landscape.
The program was led by expert faculty-CA Harpreet Singh and CA Amish Thakkar. The workshop demonstrated how technology can meet real-world problems head-on, providing practical insights into AI's application in the accounting field. Participants expressed appreciation for the program's practical relevance, interactive format, and forward-focused substance.
Day 3 of the event featured real-life business challenges solved through AI, turning learning into practice. The event marked the first overseas AI-focused professional development program for Chartered Accountants by ICAI, signifying a significant step towards global digital transformation in the accounting sector.
