Redeem Exclusive Icon Rewards on Nintendo Switch Online with My Nintendo Platinum Points
Starting July 24th, Nintendo Switch Online members can redeem their My Nintendo Platinum Points for exclusive icon rewards, including elements inspired by popular Nintendo games. To get these icon elements, you'll need a Nintendo Account and a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
Here's how to redeem your points:
- Open the Nintendo Switch Online app on your Nintendo Switch system.
- Navigate to the Missions & Rewards section.
- Browse the available exclusive rewards that can be redeemed using your Platinum Points.
- Select the icon elements or other rewards you want and redeem them with your Platinum Points.
These icon elements are often available for limited times and rotate weekly, so keep checking regularly to collect new designs. For example, Donkey Kong Bananza-themed icon elements were available in waves throughout July and early August 2025, redeemable in specific time windows.
You can earn Platinum Points by purchasing games, completing missions, or playing eligible Nintendo mobile games connected to your Nintendo Account. Once redeemed, these icon elements can be used to customize your user icon on the Nintendo Switch Online service.
In addition to the icon rewards, Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition challenges players' skills and may test their limits. This game, which requires internet access for online features (sold separately), allows players to test their speedrunning skills across more than 150 moments from 13 classic NES games.
