Lukas Jakobs appointed as the new leader of the Digital Competence Centre at Cologne City-Anzeiger Media

In a significant move for Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger Medien, Lukas Jakob has joined the company as a digital expert, bringing with him over 15 years of experience in the digital media and technology industry.

Lukas Jakob's tenure at BurdaForward, which includes popular online platforms such as Focus Online, Chip, TV Spielfilm, and Bunte.de, has come to an end. Prior to this, he made a notable impact in the digital media and technology sector, notably founding the startup Permodo, a mobile advertising and marketing agency, which he successfully sold to Ströer in 2017.

Jakob's most recent role at BurdaForward saw him responsible for the monetization of the company's internet portals, covering display, video, native, affiliate, transactions, and partner cooperation. He also developed the performance marketing offer MyOffrz at BurdaForward.

The KStA Medien are delighted to welcome Jakob, with CEO Thomas Schultz-Homberg commenting on the new addition: "With Lukas Jakobs, we gain a proven digital expert with an entrepreneurial spirit."

Jakob's passion for the brands and strategic expertise will significantly contribute to further strengthening KStA Medien's digital market position. He expresses his enthusiasm for further developing the digital brands and products of the company.

It's worth noting that Jakob has a personal connection to the 'Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger' as a long-time reader. Concurrently, he served as an advisor for the marketplace "nebenan.de" and the browser Brave.

Christine Schönfelder, Jakob's predecessor, led the Digital Competence Center for four years before leaving the company in April. Schönfelder left the company at her own request.

Jakob looks forward to contributing to the digital strengthening of the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger Medien company. His arrival is expected to mark a new chapter in the company's digital transformation journey.
