"Mando Corporation Partners with Amazon Web Services for Software Solutions in the Mobility Field"
HL Mando Corporation, a South Korean automotive parts manufacturer specializing in electric vehicle and autonomous driving solutions, has taken a significant step forward in the software defined vehicle (SDV) era. The company has signed a Collaboration Letter with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the field of mobility software.
At the collaboration ceremony during CES 2024, Cho Seong-hyeon, Vice Chairman of HL Mando, and Yasser Alsaied, Vice President of IoT at AWS, were in attendance. The event took place at both the HL Mando and AWS booths, with the automotive zone at AWS's booth featuring a live demonstration of HL Mando's MiCOSA software solution and AWS IoT services.
MiCOSA, previously unveiled by HL Mando, is a mobility software solution that has expanded its scope to include data-driven features and cloud-based services. The live demonstration at AWS's booth during CES 2024 showcased the benefits of this expansion, particularly in the area of Road Surface Perception (RSP). RSP is a technology developed by HL Mando using AWS technology, which analyses road conditions and optimises vehicle control.
The collaboration between HL Mando and AWS is also significant in its use of AWS technology for Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) for vehicle status monitoring and maintenance recommendations. AWS provides IoT services for near real-time data transmission, making it an ideal partner for HL Mando's ambitious goals.
The live demonstration captured the attention of visitors, demonstrating the innovative work between HL Mando and AWS. Cho Seong-hyeon, Vice Chairman of HL Mando, expressed his dedication to advanced software development with AWS, stating that the collaboration will help pioneer the SDV era.
HL Mando Corporation's partnership with AWS marks an exciting new chapter in the company's history. With its focus on electric vehicles, autonomous driving, and advanced software solutions, HL Mando is poised to make significant contributions to the future of the automotive industry.
