Meet ShuRan Liu, a Senior Consultant on the Power Consulting team at Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd., based in the vibrant city of Beijing. Known for its unique blend of ancient architecture and modern technology, Beijing serves as the perfect backdrop for ShuRan's innovative work in power systems.
ShuRan's interest in power electronics, including High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) and Hydro Static Frequency Converters (SFCs), stems from his father, a professor and engineer who influenced his career path. ShuRan's passion lies in enhancing power grid efficiency and reliability through innovative solutions.
After graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Strathclyde University in Glasgow and Manchester University in England, ShuRan began his career with our company in 2019. He quickly demonstrated his talent for combining customer meetings with problem-solving, a skill he enjoys and excels in. One of his notable projects involved developing a digital solution for a virtual power plant platform, which optimized operations and enabled the customer to trade electricity more efficiently.
