Mercedes-Benz Unveils Generation EQ Electric SUV Coupe Concept
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the Generation EQ electric SUV Coupe Concept at the Paris Motor Show. The concept is a sneak peek into the company's electric future, built on a new platform designed exclusively for battery electric vehicles.
The EQ Concept, the first electric vehicle from Mercedes to bear the new EQ logo, is a testament to the company's commitment to electric mobility. Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Mercedes boss, has outlined the future of mobility at Mercedes-Benz, which will revolve around four pillars: Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric.
Inside the EQ Concept, drivers are greeted with touch-sensitive switchgear and organic LED displays, offering a modern and intuitive driving experience. Under the hood, the concept packs a punch with a 70kWh battery that provides a range of up to 310 miles. The electric powertrain delivers up to 400bhp and a staggering 516lb/ft of torque. Power is distributed evenly thanks to a pair of electric motors, one for each axle, ensuring four-wheel drive capability.
