Microsoft's Game Pass Ultimate Now Offers 400 Games, Including Ubisoft+ Classics
Microsoft's Game Pass Ultimate has expanded its library, now boasting 400 epic games across platforms and over 75 launch day titles each year. Meanwhile, GameStop continues to defy Microsoft's recent price hike, offering the service at its original price.
Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can now enjoy Ubisoft+ Classics, including titles like Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. This addition joins an already extensive collection of 400 games, with over 75 new titles added annually on launch day.
GameStop, however, is maintaining the original price of $19.99 for Game Pass Ultimate, despite Microsoft increasing the price by 50%. U.S. customers can also find this deal on Amazon. This move by GameStop may not be sustainable in the long term, given Microsoft's price change. GameStop offers a one-month subscription for $19.99 and a three-month membership for $59.99.
In comparison, the Game Pass Premium tier is now $14.99 but provides fewer titles and no launch day commitment. In Germany, GameStop continues to sell Game Pass Ultimate at the old price of €19.99, possibly due to selling through existing inventory of codes printed at the previous price.
Microsoft's Game Pass Ultimate offers an extensive gaming library, now including Ubisoft+ Classics. Meanwhile, GameStop's decision to maintain the original price, despite Microsoft's price hike, may not be a long-term strategy. Customers can still find the service at its original price both in-store and online at GameStop and on Amazon.
