In a significant move to adapt to the evolving lottery landscape and implement innovative solutions, the Missouri Lottery has signed a new eight-year contract with Brightstar Lottery. This partnership, spanning more than three decades, aims to maximize funds for education in Missouri.

Scott Gunn, Brightstar Lottery's Chief Operating Officer North America Lottery, expressed his excitement about the contract, while Lester Elder, the Missouri Lottery's Executive Director, discussed the long-term collaboration between the Lottery and Brightstar.

The new contract includes the delivery of new and innovative retail equipment from Brightstar Lottery. An enhanced communications network will ensure reliable connectivity across all retail locations.

Brightstar will also deploy its OMNIA lottery solution, powering the Missouri Lottery's digital and retail offering. This fully-integrated lottery solution simplifies operations and enhances player experiences by seamlessly connecting retail and digital lottery channels. The system allows for streamlined management across both physical and online platforms.

The contract also includes enhancements to the Missouri Lottery's digital program. Connected Play, Second-Chance Promotions, and a Loyalty Program will be implemented to facilitate a more integrated and engaging experience for players, give players additional chances to win, and reward frequent players, respectively.

Gunn stated that Brightstar is honored to support the Missouri Lottery in its efforts to adapt to the evolving lottery landscape and implement innovative solutions. He further mentioned that Brightstar aims to deliver high-performing solutions to help the Missouri Lottery achieve its goals of maximizing funds for education.

The divestment of Brightstar's Gaming & Digital business resulted in approximately $4.0bn in net cash proceeds. As part of the agreement, Brightstar Lottery plans to use $2.0bn from the proceeds for debt reduction and return $1.1bn to shareholders.

Elder highlighted that this long-term partnership has contributed more than $8.5bn to public education across Missouri. He expressed excitement about building upon this partnership over the next eight years and delivering new, premier experiences for the Missouri Lottery's players.

The Missouri Lottery is expected to strengthen its operations by offering versatility, reliability, as well as convenience on a scale. The delivery of such innovative technology is expected to positively impact on customer engagement, further enhancing the Missouri Lottery's commitment to providing engaging and rewarding experiences for its players.
